Mera Dost Chala – all the way to Rajasthan

city-pushkar-lake

The image above is the Puskhar lake, Ajmer. Just beautiful ain’t it adding to my envy my friend Thejesh GN is on his way there to witness the Puskar Fair, and he is planning to visit even the Thar deserts to see the sins of many ppl making this beatiful desert. (there is a saying, every sin by a person, adds one speck of sand to a place)

Here is Thejesh travel plan:

Here is the plan as of now
Day 1, Day 2 : Travel by train and bus
Day 3, Day 4: Jaisalmer
Day 4, Day5, Day6: Ajmir and Pushkar
Day 7, Day8: Jaipur
Day 9: Fly back to Bangalore

well he did have a few things to say before he left for the exciting ten day travel to Rajasthan, here it goes:

thejeshgn2 I am all set. My iPod has been refreshed with latest music, batteries are fully charged, my new big back pack is fully loaded. I am leaving to Rajastan on 16th. I will be on ten day vacation to Rajastan visiting Jaisalmer , Pushkar ( Yup Pushkar Fair), Ajmir and Jaipur. I am sure going to get hundreds of pictures and lot of videos from Pushkar and Jaisalmer. This will be my first visit to Thar deserts. I am all charged up.

Jaisalmer, the “Golden City”, is located on the westernmost frontier of Indian subcontinent in the state of Rajasthan. Close to the border with Pakistan, the city is known for its proximity to the Thar Desert. Desert Safari in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer is an unforgettable experience.

Like my previous stories from North East India; I am going to post series of stories from Rajastan this time. I will try to live blog from the fair. I heard food along the train journey is awesome. So for sure there will be some posts on food. I am planning to post everyday. Follow me on Twitter or  blog not to miss any post. You can get the posts directly to your inbox too.

About Pushkar Fair – Every November, the sleepy little township of Pushkar in Rajasthan, India comes alive with a riot of colors and a frenzied burst of activity. The occasion: PUSHKAR FAIR. Very few, if at all any, fairs in the world can match the liveliness of Pushkar. Most people associate the Pushkar Fair with the world’s largest camel fair. But it is much more than that.

So now that some real good time he is gonna spend in each place there… and he promised me to show loads of photographs…. so sometime, once I see it, I hope to show to all of you here in my blog…. 🙂 I m so very excited of his travel, cause he is going to one of the destinations that I always longed to go (there are many  in the list thought, lol :D) But never could make it cause of so many factors.. but I promise to myself that, I will surely set my foot in every city and town in this country and feel proud about it. I guess many do agree with me as well 🙂

Ok to keep your self updated on Thejesh;s Travel and see the pics that he is gonna shoot, find it here: “Gaadi Bula Rahi Hai”

Safe journey Thej!!!!!
