Present the calmness to myself and it rewards you well with more of it.

This was shot when I was sitting inside the church which I dabbled into as a part of a photowalk. Well, in the end the photowalk gave me more than photographs.

My Top 5 Best Kannada Songs

Kannada songs have a reached a new spectrum off late. Never was a great fan of them for a few years now. It could be that I haven’t heard the right song during all these years. But still, now I have a great set of Kannada songs which I love listening to…. and most of it is composed by just one music director “Manu Murthy” who shot to fame with his music in a Kannada film called ‘Mungaaru Male'(though I haven’t watched it). Seems to me the world loved it. So, I have no comments over that, except for its music which was very simple and soothing. Gave a new life to the music world of Kannada industry of recent times. Then he continued to prove his art in all his successive films. My list also includes the maestro Ilayaraja. He has spellbound me with this track “Jotheyali” and last but not the least, the radio starring track : Jinke Marina for its local rendition, funny lyrics with mass BG.

The Top 5 Kannada Songs:

No.1: Male Ninthu Hodha Mele | Film: Milana | Music: Manu Murthy

No.2: Jotheyali Jotheyali | Film: Geetha | Music: Ilayaraja

No.3: Minchagi | Film: Gaalipata | Music: Manu Murthy

No.4: Anisuthide | Film: Mungaaru Male | Music: Manu Murthy

No.5: Jinke Mari Na | Film: Nanda Nandhita | Music: 😦

I would love to get introduced to more good kannada tracks which I have not noticed. Reasons are a many for not noticing.  If someone’s got a choice or an suggestion, do ping ( google: or leave a comment. Again, I have the freedom to like it or not. But would really appreciate the effort. πŸ™‚

P.S: There is another track which is unique in every way. Its called Mahadeshwara by Raghupathi Dixit. I couldn find this track online. If someone gets hold of it, let me know. I adore this track. Words are few to describe. Would leave it to the ear to relish. πŸ™‚

Book Thought: Three Big Mistakes of my Life

Walked into one of Bangalore’s oldest book store, Premier Book Store on Church street. Went it with my buddy Hrish. He was complaining that I don’t do enough reading. He was saying ” A filmmaker you want to be, you better be reading books. It helps your vocabulary” I was like, well an advice doesn’t hurt. Its for free. Honestly, I used to be a voracious reader, but lost a bit of touch durin the momentum of my life. Now, an attempt to get back into some reading. Hrish bhai, picked ‘Three Mistakes of my life’ bu Chetan Bhagat ( the writer of ‘Five Point Someone’ and ‘One Night at a call centre’). I was more than glad to borrow it and read. Well, did the title of the book, sound a bit familiar to my life.

Ha ha!

Now the book. It’s a narration by a character Govind Patel to the author. It starts with an suicide email from Govind to the author. Once read, the author travels to India to meet him and the story unfold there as he explains. The story spoke about aspects of a man’s life and things that influence him. Friends, love, dreams, concern, goals, money, politics, religion, beliefs, superstitions, forced opinions, forced influences, grievences and death. This story revolves around three characters who are trying to figure out what to do with their lives. When, they do succeed in that, what other things come into play.

I would say, its a good story. Great narration. I did feel it to be a a bit BOLLYWOODISH. A good story line to be made into a film. Should say, I did feel like I was watching the movie, as I read through.

Rating: 3/5

P.S. I am not going to judge the author by this book, coz’ I haven’t read both his previous books. I have heard that they were great. So maybe I would try getting them to read and let you know, what I think about this author.

May Day ke Naam par: I s’cream at Rs. 9

We chill this summer for cheap. All thanks to ‘The May Day’. At the Sigma Mall, the Gelato Italiano ice cream at Rs. 9. Raghu, Hrish and me were hanging around at the food court using the free wi-fi available he he… πŸ™‚ Well wat the hell… Ok!!! So I thought they deserved an acknowledgement. So here it is. Watch out for the pictures and also check out the guys belting on the ice cream.

“The presence was made pretty good by some pretty girls. Hrish was all glad it was summer for he could admire wearing micro mini skirts for lot.” (this line requested by Hrish Thota) Lots of discussion on who they can be who are tryin; badly to grab attention by some catwalks around.

Ok guys, now its not real summer here.. we have entered pre monsoon.Β  Cheers guys!

Well well well… we have a guest appearence as I m writing this from Sigma mall food court. Trumpet: Sistila Ganesh. My senior from college days, good to see him remember us and come by to say a hi πŸ™‚ Here he is, a single, handsome hunk:

Ok then, I need to get back to sharing some good ‘ol days with him now. Raghu is talking to him as of now. (people who are wondering who Raghu is! He is my best buddy)

Hard Rock Cafe – Bengalooru

Finally, the ‘Hard Rock Cafe – Bengalooru (Bangalore)’ has made it into my list of cafes (this one is not really a coffee shop) visited. I was pretty impressed with ambience of the place, well designed aesthetically, well lit (loved the light at the table, I was sitting with Raghu & Hrish) It does carry the mood of Rock with the music being played throughout. Honestly, after visiting the Hard Rock Cafe, the other cafes in Bangalore looked under-done and felt as f they really needed to give their place a face lift of some sort or maybe i’m too influenced as of now, lol! πŸ™‚

Okay! I think this place is surely worth a visit. Here are some pics clicked at the Hard Rock Cafe by Hrish:

As of now, check it out in the above link. Will try gettin the pics embeded, when I find time.

Here is a short feel-about & Know-about of ‘ The Hard Rock Cafe – Bengalooru’

Location: St. Mark Road, Bangalore (Next to MG Road)

Ambience: Great and rRocky (literally, just like the name), Well lit lights.

Service: I would say, it was okay! cause they keep pestering you politely to keep ordering something or the other. And you need to ask a million times for water. Gotta be specific on how many glasses of water your table needs. Otherwise might land up getting it only for the person who asked for. Should appreciate the service otherwise is great. KUDOS for that.

Cost: Expensive/ Affordable. Can have a good time with a li’l deep pockets.

My order: Banana Smoothie: 180 Rs. and Jumbo Non-veg Combo (excellent choice of order) -500 Rs. French Fries: 100 Rs. Must say, yummy food they got. APPLAUSE

Overall: I would rate it 8/10

My ride between the monsters at 11.00 pm

Its was another late night ride for me, which I have been riding so offlate, sometime after I started working. But this one today at 11 pm seemed very interesting and I felt so good riding my ” BIKE- its a blue pulsar 150cc” at that time. I was carrying some extra weight on bike too, my buddy. It was a 15 kms ride from Yelahanka to my house. This time, I was well equipped with a jacket to protect me from the cold winds, did not want to catch a cold or anything cause I was attending the “writers meet” on Sunday and I was taking someone out for lunch too after that. I realised one thing that my ride missed on for the past few late night ride, was the ipod shuffle which I own {a real proud owner of one, i should say}and today I had it with me, with one of the best track put on it from hiphop to techno, rock to ragaas to which I was rocking my head all the way home, making people think, that this guys is gone crazy in the middle of the night, I m sure my buddy who was sitting behind me also thought the same, though he was listening to, I guess some local FM channel, I m sure it must have been Radio one, spill your dil or some so called ” love gurus” that is. He had to tune on the radio cause he was sure that I aint gonna be listening to his blahs and blahs cause I was all away in glory, blasting my ipod with an in-ear earphone {not the apple one, got a sony for the effect} and it rocked. And he never complained cause just before i started I asked him:

me: is there something you want to tell me

buddy: kyon re? wat do u want me to tell.

me: I dunno. Just make use of this time to tell me anything, cause for the next 20 mins I m not gonna listen to whatever you gonna say even if you shout.

buddy: saala… i pod huh? thera bohuth hogaya re

me: whatever… just sit lets go

buddy: chal

I started off with Coldplays “yellow” and bike was a constant, then it shifted to another track called ” scientist “… then suddenly, the track changed to David Guetta’s Love is gone-radio edit… when the song hit the bit, I was on a sudden travel high, that I felt like a star and started cruising smoothly like a ship sailing through icebergs, I was cruising through the late night monsters [lorries] and made them look like losers. ha ha

oh my god, it was a dog.. suddenly crossed the road, i saved the dog, but it scared the hell outta my buddy sitting behind me.. πŸ˜€

me: sorry bro.. couldn see. the dog camouflaged

my buddy: its ok dude. My legs are shivering.

me: ha ha…..ok fine lets go…. if you want to finish your natures call, go ahead.

my buddy: hmmmm… naaa

me: ok lets hit it. I m already late for the morning. ha ha

when, this happened, I had paused a track…. but it shifted to a track of eagles and then as i rode along I had ‘stings- fields of gold’ and then back to back with tracks of Linkin Park increasing my thought tempo and so of my bike.

vroom… slow.. slow…. almost reaching halt at the road end of my house. CLANG### opened my gate. parked my bike in a most dignified way, he need to treated. and bid him a good bye and thanked him for wonderful ride.. and said: “we should do this sometime again.” he just nodded to his left as I locked him. πŸ˜€

Well a few shots in a 20 min ride: My night looked like this

The photography you can see in this pic, of a mehendi hand, was originally shot by Akshath….. and is used by the magazine without his notice, which is so wrong…

Here is the link of the original pic:
If art can be stolen like this………..they are gonna make creative ppl stop showcase their works to the real audience….. and soon it will be…no more thinking as well….
You think u can support him, just get this across to people you know…….After all we are the people and we are the FORCE……

By the way, as I was posting this , my buddy pinged me and said this is the second time its happening to this guy…. how sad.. here is the steal 1:

And for a minute I was like.. this is really not done.. and I also want to add something.. that I think Akshath also should be doing something about this.. like disabling downloads by some means…if flickr does give us that option….. its one effort to stop these kinds of atrocities…..
