Fishing for net at Trivandrum

Whoa!!!!! I am so glad I’m seeing a computer with internet. I ain’t exaggerating, I really had to fish for some an internet cafe to check my mails. My search began on Wednesday of this week, finally found one on Friday before I came to a conclusion that this city city is still stone age {now I’m exxaggerating, lol} All the boards which said INternet, email, games….. do not exist in real when you land up the door of the shop!!!! Its like a thirsty man finding a mirage of a spring….. but finally he does find a real spring, just like I found this one…I am so glad as I’m writing this.. so I have to give credits to the this shop guy.. its called ‘ Sri Ayyappan Ned Cafe’ Indhernet for Rs. 10 with A/C’ [which was an attraction factor, thought there was a nice fan to chill the place] ๐Ÿ˜‰

My journey has been pretty interesting to me from the time I boarded the KSRTC Airavath which broke at 10.30 pm in the middle of nowhere and reached Triv the next day at 3 pm almost a days journey, which was not meant to be so, as it was to be only 16 hrs!!!! Anyways…. The city has managed to maintain its culture, language, tradition and history really very well…. me with my buddy Raghu( still not a blogger to link) clicked some real good pictures. There might be an impression that we are here for fun, but NOPE! we are on FilmCamp.TV work for a workshop of filmmaking here in this city. WORK IS IN PROGRESS…..

Shall surely share more interesting events that are worth a space in my memory ๐Ÿ™‚ soon…. as soon as I’m back to Bangalore which would be possibly in another 5 days!!!!!

Laters ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. Few things I would like to add on

  • get a lappy ASAP with wireless internet which is one thing I decided to do.

And ya…. there is lots of such internet cafes near the Trivandrum Techno Park which is like 18 kms away from the city { it sounds like flashing a torch light at the sun, lol} anyways!!!! ON the GOOD NOTE: it surely is a beautiful city and lots of interesting things to know as well……. and to learn like Malayalam which I managed pretty well, unlike my buddy who tries his best to bend Kannada into Malayalam.. sounds muerderous.. but KUDOS to his effort ๐Ÿ™‚

Evada Poyi? Trivandrum here I come

bibomediacom_104835.pngA chance to get out of the city buzz of Bangalore. I will be heading to Trivandrum today evenin by bus in 8 hrs from now. Have been hearing loads of things about ‘Gods Own Country’ ever since God created me. The lush green land, countless coconut trees, the Mallu English, the fish dishes ๐Ÿ™‚ and the backwaters. Never got to make it there though been living in India from the time I was born. Its a pity that most of us do not know our own country so well. So here is my step to getting to know my nation well enough. Will be there for a weeks time starting today!

I am all geared for it:

  • Back Pack
  • Digi Cam
  • My notebook
  • My pod
  • And loads of new Malayalam words ๐Ÿ˜€ (got my buddy to teach me some, so that I can take care of my basic conversations with ’em)

Thads it foor now! Shall post looads of potos when I get bagk froom KEErala….. and juzt praayingg dhat I haave enersy to write my bloag when I em bagk….. (thats for the accent:)]

Mera Dost Chala – all the way to Rajasthan

The image above is the Puskhar lake, Ajmer. Just beautiful ain’t it adding to my envy my friend Thejesh GN is on his way there to witness the Puskar Fair, and he is planning to visit even the Thar deserts to see the sins of many ppl making this beatiful desert. (there is a saying, every sin by a person, adds one speck of sand to a place)

Here is Thejesh travel plan:

Here is the plan as of now
Day 1, Day 2 : Travel by train and bus
Day 3, Day 4: Jaisalmer
Day 4, Day5, Day6: Ajmir and Pushkar
Day 7, Day8: Jaipur
Day 9: Fly back to Bangalore

well he did have a few things to say before he left for the exciting ten day travel to Rajasthan, here it goes:

thejeshgn2 I am all set. My iPod has been refreshed with latest music, batteries are fully charged, my new big back pack is fully loaded. I am leaving to Rajastan on 16th. I will be on ten day vacation to Rajastan visiting Jaisalmer , Pushkar ( Yup Pushkar Fair), Ajmir and Jaipur. I am sure going to get hundreds of pictures and lot of videos from Pushkar and Jaisalmer. This will be my first visit to Thar deserts. I am all charged up.

Jaisalmer, the โ€œGolden Cityโ€, is located on the westernmost frontier of Indian subcontinent in the state of Rajasthan. Close to the border with Pakistan, the city is known for its proximity to the Thar Desert. Desert Safari in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer is an unforgettable experience.

Like my previous stories from North East India; I am going to post series of stories from Rajastan this time. I will try to live blog from the fair. I heard food along the train journey is awesome. So for sure there will be some posts on food. I am planning to post everyday. Follow me on Twitter or  blog not to miss any post. You can get the posts directly to your inbox too.

About Pushkar Fair – Every November, the sleepy little township of Pushkar in Rajasthan, India comes alive with a riot of colors and a frenzied burst of activity. The occasion: PUSHKAR FAIR. Very few, if at all any, fairs in the world can match the liveliness of Pushkar. Most people associate the Pushkar Fair with the worldโ€™s largest camel fair. But it is much more than that.

So now that some real good time he is gonna spend in each place there… and he promised me to show loads of photographs…. so sometime, once I see it, I hope to show to all of you here in my blog…. ๐Ÿ™‚ I m so very excited of his travel, cause he is going to one of the destinations that I always longed to go (there are many  in the list thought, lol :D) But never could make it cause of so many factors.. but I promise to myself that, I will surely set my foot in every city and town in this country and feel proud about it. I guess many do agree with me as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok to keep your self updated on Thejesh;s Travel and see the pics that he is gonna shoot, find it here: “Gaadi Bula Rahi Hai”

Safe journey Thej!!!!!
